Zayde

I’m Zayde. I am a sweet girl, who loves to go for walks, sunbathe, and curl up in my favorite dog bed. They call me a Pocket Pitbull, because I am pretty small and am only around 45 lbs. I have a very mellow personality, and like to test out every dog bed in the house! Yes, I am awfully cute! I love to go for hikes and walks. I am an active girl outside, and a lazy girl at home. The best of both worlds! I am particular about my dog friends, and do best meeting them off leash in a fenced yard. I get along great with cats. I will do best in a home with little traffic or visitors and older/considerate kids (8+yrs). I was fortunate to be rescued with my 4 puppies from a high kill shelter. I was very undernourished when they brought me into their care, but I am now healthy, spayed, and happy to have a 2nd chance at a forever home. All my pups were adopted, and now it’s my turn to find a perfect forever home! Will it be yours? Since I am a Pitbull, I can’t be adopted in the following banned areas: Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Commerce City, Ft Lupton, Lone Tree, or Louisville. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives! Adoption fee is $50 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.

Thumbelina

My name is Thumbelina – I’m around 2-3 years old, I’ve been so busy I can’t keep track of a silly thing like age.  I’m a petite polydactyl weighing in at just over 6 pounds and I have 23 toes!  I was a stray who came to ARR for foster care and gave birth to FIVE kittens just two days later.  I successfully raised those five kittens and then being the super cat I am, helped care for DOZENS more over the summer as I accepted every orphan kitten I met.  Now that I’m completely done nursing, I’ve been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and my own cat personality is really coming out.  I’m extremely playful and I very much enjoy being petted.  And if I decide you’re not done petting me, even if you think you are, I will grab your hand with my mittened paws and pull it back so you can continue.   I’ve lived with cats and dogs but I can play kind of rough so any animal playmates should be able to stand their ground with me.  It’s probably best I don’t go to a home with children because of this rough play but I’ll give an adult household plenty of comic relief!  I’m chatty and I love food, toys, and climbing on my cat tree.  Come meet me soon! Oh, and did I mention I’m famous!!  I was on Denver’s Pet Line 9 Saturday morning 10/15 at 7:15 a.m. with 2 of my foster siblings and my foster mom!  Since I’m a polydactyl cat my adoption fee is $150…being extra special and all!  I’d love to meet you soon! Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $225 for purebred/highly requested kittens (6 months & under) $150 for purebred/highly requested cats (older than 6 months) $125 for kittens (6 months & under)    $65 for cats (older than 6 months)    $35 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
