Our Mission Statement
Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and encourage quality relationships between pets and their people through behavior resources and training.

Meet Puma, a friendly 13-year old female cat who gets along well with just about everyone - other cats, dogs, and kids. She's very sweet and loves to be petted. Cinnamon is a playful, cuddly, well-behaved boy who has seen disappointment in his life. He enjoys playing soccer, fetch, and tug games. He likes funny sounds, bubbles, and chasing laser pointers—but dislikes parked bicycles, loud noises, and having his ears cleaned. He also shows some fear of water and hesitancy around doors.

Phillipe is a 8 yr. old chi- mix sweet little lovable lap dog. He was found roaming the streets of Canyon City and appears to have frostbite along the edges of his ears. Phillipe is mild mannered and loves to play with the "big boys"(31-56 lb dogs) as a micro wrestler, but knows when it's time for a nap on your lap.
